Supervision

I have been supervising psychotherapists and counsellors since 1993. I also supervise people who work in other roles in the heath industry e.g. doctors, managers and administrators.

From 1999 - 2006 inc. I supervised and taught on the psychotherapy training.at the Auckland University of Technology.

I have a post-graduate certificate in supervision practice.
I am a registered psychotherapist and a full member of NZAP
(The New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists).

Supervision is essential for all psychotherapists and counsellors and I place importance on making it a free and non-judgemental environment in which you can discuss and find ways of understanding everything that happens in session with clients, including your own responses, and gain useful tips.

My understanding of both the supervision process and client work is psychodynamic and born of 20 years experience at a practitioner and 17 years as a supervisor, including 7 years as a tutor on the Auckland University of Technology psychotherapy training and in Mental Health Day Centers in London

I also have a wide knowledge of the complexities of the organisational dynamics.
